As per the Medical Council of India, Code of Ethics Regulations 2002, 1.2.2, every doctor should affiliate with associations and societies of the Allopathic Medical profession and actively participate in their functioning for the advancement of their profession. Therefore, it is recommended that every gynecologist become a member of FOGSI/OGSSI, which currently has over 27,000 members across 204 societies.
